Hope and Compassion
Hope & Compassion is a non-profit organization formed by a group of kindhearted missionaries that work tirelessly taking hope to the hopeless and transforming lives with the message of the Cross. We target the less fortunate by providing basic needs and spiritual support. We have regular Monday thru Friday jobs but during the weekends we put on the Hope & Compassion shirt to take the love of Jesus to our neighbor country – Mexico.
Our team regularly visits Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Orphanages, Mental Asylums, Underprivileged Communities and Schools.
Jesus is alive, and making a difference in the lives of kids today!
IBC Kids’ Church is a vibrant large group worship and teaching session, followed by small group activities designed to pass the truth of God’s Word to our next generation. We use the 252 Basics curriculum, focusing on a new virtue each month. http://www.whatisorange.org/252basics/ (By the way, a new video is posted at that link each month that introduces our topic INCREDIBLY well! Look at the “preview.”)
All 1st through 6th graders are welcome.
Come join us in the Fellowship Hall from 10:45am – 12:15 pm each Sunday!
We meet every Wednesday night in the Fellowship Hall
at 6:15pm. (EXCEPT during the summer)
Parents are also expected to help their child’s AWANA leader a few times during the year. This gives you the opportunity to see what your kids are learning, first hand. It also gives our leaders the extra help needed to be able to give each child the attention he/she needs to win the awards they are working toward.
Parents need to purchase books, uniforms and pay yearly dues.
Our AWANA team at Immanuel Baptist Church is excited to bring this opportunity to the kids of our church! Space is limited!

Immanuel Baptist’s student ministry is composed of college, high-school, and middle school students who love Jesus and are eager for opportunities to serve and make a difference in this world and grow in our relationship with Jesus. We exist to participate in Kingdom building in our church, our city, and to the ends of the earth, demonstrating love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, meekness, faith, and self-control through the power of the Holy Spirit in submission to our King.
It is our desire to live life, the abundant life that Jesus came to bring us and help others experience the same victorious life by demonstrating the Gospel and living a self-sacrificing life in service to our Lord. If you are ready to experience more than what the world offers you and truly want to know the abundant life, we welcome you with open arms. Grace and Peace to you 🙂

Immanuel Christian School
Immanuel Christian School (ICS) is the premier Christian school in El Paso, serving not only families from within the city limits, but also many from the surrounding communities and Juarez, Mexico. ICS provides private, Christian education for grades preschool through 12th and has a current enrollment of 535 students. The school is a ministry of Immanuel Baptist Church and shares the building with the church and the International Baptist Bible Institute (IBBI).
Immanuel Christian School opened its doors in September 1969, serving students in preschool through 2nd grade. The school added grades every year until it provided Christian education for students through 8th grade. ICS remained this way until 2001, when the high school was added. Immanuel’s first graduating class was in 2002, with 6 seniors receiving their diplomas in the church sanctuary. This year, ICS will graduate 46 students, the most in our history!
In 2004, Immanuel Christian School introduced a proprietary College Prep class and program, which incorporated cultural literacy, standardized test prep and personal planning for all post-high school endeavors.
Since then, ICS has had 8 National Hispanic Scholars and one National Merit Scholar. Each year, graduates receive thousands of dollars in scholarships and Immanuel Christian School alumni now grace the campuses of well-known universities such as MIT, Wellesley College, University of Notre Dame, UT Austin, Colorado Christian University, Anderson University, Baylor University, TCU and St. Mary’s University. In addition, ICS alumni have now been accepted to or are attending graduate schools such as Boston University Medical School, Columbia University School of Political Science, Stanford University School of Engineering and Oxford University in England.
Our mission is a simple one that has remained unchanged since our inception:
Providing children with quality, Christ-centered education, developing students who strive for academic excellence and molding responsible citizens to embrace a distinctly Christian worldview.
Our goal or daily objective can best be summarized as follows:
We will use all of our talents, gifts and resources to lead our students to MEET GOD, KNOW GOD, LOVE GOD and SERVE GOD in order to fulfill His perfect purpose for their lives.
We follow the EPISD schedule for inclement weather closings/delays. Be sure to check local news for school closings announcements.
The church office follows the school inclement schedule as well. If the school is closed, so is the church office.
For registration and other information, call the school office at (915) 778-6160 or email JD Zubia, the Head of School. You may also visit www.ImmanuelWarriors.org
