Immanuel Baptist Church is a Biblically-driven church with multiple ministries including our Immanuel Christian School, By His Stripes Prison Ministry, plenty of small groups meeting in homes throughout the area, and a dynamic prayer ministry.
With our Christian school, University, and active church, our facilities are easily the busiest of any church in the entire area! In 1 Peter 2:5, the Apostle writes that believers are like “living stones.”
It’s a great verse, because Peter says you are like “living stones” whose lives are built together in Christ. In verse 9, Peter writes that the reason our lives are built together is “that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.”
Let us pray that Christ will continue to build our lives together, and through our sacrifice, Immanuel Baptist Church will “declare the praises of Him who called us out of darkness into His wonderful light.”
Pray about the future of our church and ask God to take us by the hand and lead us to His future as we serve Christ.
Immanuel Baptist Church is a Biblically-driven church that seeks to be used by God to help fulfill the Great Commission. Our desire is not only to teach what Jesus and the Biblical authors said, but do what they did as well. God used them to impact the world in one generation. God used ordinary people to do extraordinary things.
To do what Jesus tells us in the Great Commission does not require a new strategy. Jesus modeled for us with His disciples how this takes place. Our goal is to be intentional in following His strategy. We want to be a sending church that can impact not only El Paso but other parts of the world.
Vision: To glorify God by producing as much fruit as possible (disciple-makers) through the implementation and fulfillment of the Great Commission. This is found in the following two verses:
John 15:8 says, “This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.”
Matthew 28:18-20 says, And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
The church’s purpose is exalting Jesus Christ through worship by:
- Evangelizing the lost
- Equipping the saints for service
- Engaging the servants for ministry
